Ghost Recon Wildlands: new details on Special Operation 4 at the start tomorrow

Ubisoft unveiled the contents of Special Operation 4 for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands the new and important free update for the second year of post-launch content of the game.

The Special Operation 4 will be available from tomorrow, February 27th, for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and the family of Xbox One devices, including Xbox One X. The update will include the new PvE Guerrilla mode, the new class PvP Guastatore and many other features required by the community

Guerrilla mode extends the PvE experience of the game with a truly unique challenge, able to test the endurance, skills and tactics of players. On their own or with a team of up to four Ghosts, players will need to defend certain key positions from waves of increasingly deadly Cartel and Unidad members. For each completed wave, they will have the opportunity to purchase and upgrade weapons, skills and accessories, thanks to the resources obtained from the eliminated enemies. Each choice will be decisive and the strategy will be essential to overcome this truly challenging challenge.

In addition to the Guerrilla mode, Special Operation 4 introduces a wide range of new content focused on Ghost War PvP, including:

  • A new PvP class : The Guastatore is a new option for the Support class able to employ a specialized drone that can launch "concussion" mines. These mines reduce players' resistance by eliminating them or slowing down their run.
  • Two new PvP maps .
  • Two new PvP events : Arms Race, in which players enter into action armed only with a pistol and they are forced to explore the map in search of better weapons; Danger Zone, where players are periodically bombarded with ultrasonic explosions, which force them to move continuously.

Finally, Special Operation 4 will add the new Heat Map view, allowing players to view the most visited sites in the Wildlands and discover some that they may have never seen before.

Ghost Recon Wildlands Year 2 Pass offers seven days of early access to the new class of Ghost War, in addition to the exclusive Active Duty Pack starting tomorrow. All other players will have access to the new PvP class starting March 6th.
