Below we explain how to free up and get space on PlayStation 4, so you can install Days Gone at launch.
How to free up space on PS4
It will take at least 67 GB of free space to install Days Gone on PS4 . If you need to free up some space on your console's hard drive, then you will need to delete some content from the hard disk.
The simplest and most direct method is to directly select the contents from the dashboard, press the Options button and choose the Delete option to delete the single content. In this way you can also delete the folders with the related contents, screenshots and videos recorded inside the console.
To get a clearer picture of the space available in memory, however, we advise you to follow another method. From the dashboard go to Settings and select Storage memory . In this screen you can see the total size of your hard disk and the currently available free space. Pressing X you will be able to view in detail the total amount of space occupied by the Applications, the Capture Gallery, the Saved Data and the Themes.
In general most of the space is occupied by Applications : select this item with the X button and scroll through the list of all the games and apps installed on your console. Next to each of them is the size occupied on the hard disk: select the content you want to delete from the disk, press the Options button and confirm the operation. Of course, deleting the heavier content will allow you to free up more storage space
If you subscribe to the PlayStation Plus service, remember that you can transfer your rescues to the Cloud (for a total of 10 GB) . To do this you just need to select the game you want to transfer the saves to, press the Options button and choose the option Load / download saved data. By doing this, you can transfer all your backups to the Cloud and free up more space on your console's internal hard disk.
Alternatively, if you can't free up enough space to install Days Gone, you can always connect and configure a hard disk. external on PS4, taking advantage of the extra memory space to install games or transfer the data contained in the internal hard drive.
