Today Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, NetherRealm Studios and Intersport have announced Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition 2019/2020 the inaugural season of the world export program dedicated to the last chapter of the Mortal Kombat series.
This year the Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition will offer fighters of any level the chance to compete in nine different tournaments live in North America, Latin America and Europe, as well as multiple online events, to grab a slice of € 150,000 prize pool and the opportunity to win one of 12 places for the Final Kombat. Four additional places in the finals will be reserved for winners of the Northern Arena of Canada, of the Latin American Liga and of the Intercontinental Kombat which will take place between Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Australia, and the remaining place will be assigned through a final qualifying tournament to be held the day before the Final Kombat. The first stop of the North American Pro Kompetition will take place from May 24th to 26th at Combo Breaker 2019 in Chicago, Illinois.
The best 16 players of the various events will be qualified for the Final Kombat the final of the championship, and will have the opportunity to take home a further slice of the prize pool of € 100,000 . The Final Kombat is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020 in Chicago, Illinois, and will be broadcast live on NetherRealm's Twitch channel, just like all normal Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition seasonal tournaments.
Mortal Kombat 11 is the last chapter of the critically acclaimed franchise and developed by the award-winning NetherRealm Studios. The launch is scheduled for April 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
