Koei Tecmo Europe revealed a lot of information regarding the new playable characters and the new gameplay system of A.O.T. 2 Final Battle. The last chapter of the series based on Attack on Titan will be available on July 5th 2019 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC.
A.O.T. 2: Final Battle offers aspiring commanders the chance to create their own team and fight to recover territories outside the walls, in the Territory Recovery Mode. At the start of the game, players will be able to customize their team's name and emblem and will be able to assign the role of commander to one of the playable characters in the game – including their A.O.T Scout 2. The Territory Recovery Mode has two phases. The first is a "Basic" phase where players can freely wander around to socialize with allies, use the materials to upgrade equipment and prepare for the battle that awaits them. Once this phase is complete, the "Outer Campaign" phase begins; here the Scouts will venture outside the walls, in the hope of reclaiming territories.
The Scouts will be given a series of extraordinary new equipment for their battles against titanic enemies. The 'Slashing Gear' makes its comeback and will be useful to equip the blades with the ODM to quickly cut off body parts, in addition to the powerful 'Shooting Gear' action, in which the blades are replaced with guns. The 'Shooting Gear' offers the possibility of choosing between one-handed attacks, which allow easy targeting and evasion of Titan parts in exchange for faster gas consumption and attacks with lower damage, and two-handed attacks that inflict huge damage making it harder to evade incoming shots. The Scouts will also have a revolutionary weapon in the fight against the Titans; Thunder Spear, the most powerful weapon in their arsenal, which can completely eliminate an enemy in one shot.
Scouts eager to join the action can now pre-order to get bonus content practical for their experience. Those who purchase A.O.T. 2: Final Battle, in physical or digital edition, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One during the first month of launch, will receive the "Queen of Historia" costume for Christa, "Young Male Coat" for Kenny, "Plain Clothes (Underground City) "for Levi and the" One-piece Dress "costume for Mikasa. PlayStation 4 players will also receive early access to playable characters 'Kenny' and 'Zeke', while Xbox One players who pre-order the game before launch will unlock these playable characters. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch will be available in the coming weeks.
