From the stage of the latest episode of Inside Xbox, the leaders of the Xbox division of Microsoft opened a window on the future of videogame streaming with a new live demonstration of Project xCloud.
The demo of the game streaming technology used by the new Microsoft service, here taken up by the colleagues of Twinfinite, offered us a taste of the extraordinary potential of Project xCloud with a test that saw Forza Horizon 4 as the protagonist.
In this new capacity , the kolossal arcade racing of Playground Games seems to run without any problem on a limited hardware like the entry-level smartphone used in the demo. In its final version, the Project xCloud client promises to be compatible with almost all smartphones and tablets on the market capable of connecting to the internet.
In the video demonstration on Forza Horizon 4 broadcast during the last episode of Inside Xbox we note the ease of use through a normal Xbox One controller connected in bluetooth, even if Microsoft has repeatedly confirmed the possibility of playing through a touch interface with custom commands for each title.
The first public tests of Project xCloud should take place during the second half of 2019 with participation procedures that will be announced by Microsoft as soon as possible. In the meantime, take a look at the Forza Horizon 4 demo streaming on your smartphone and tell us what you think about it.
