PS5 will not be released in 2019 and will be backwards compatible: Mark Cerny speaks

Mark Cerny spoke of PlayStation 5 on the pages of Wired USA, confirming that the console will not be released in 2019, although the presentation this year is likely, with launch scheduled for March 2020 according to some rumors not confirmed.

Cerny then confirms the backward compatibility with the PlayStation 4 software (it is not clear how, if through physical support or update), according to the words of Mark Cerny "PlayStation 5 will be more a revolution that evolves "although it will share some similarities with the current generation console.

Other details concern the possible support for the 8K resolution and the Ray Tracing, with the former not yet confirmed while the latter being defined and given practically for sure. More information soon …
