Survios, software house already author of the spin-off for PS VR Creed Rise to Glory, announced its next title: The Walking Dead Onslaught arriving on VR platforms not yet specified during the season autumn of this year.
Instead of being inspired by the comic novels originally conceived by Robert Kirkman, the title will base its narrative foundations on the famous television transposition of AMC which is preparing for its tenth season. The same broadcaster is collaborating with the developers of Survios for the realization of the VR experience, and this could make known people like Rick, Michonne, Carol, and Daryl appear inside the game, if the software house deems it appropriate.
Although the TV series will therefore constitute the fundamental basis from which to draw on the product development, The Walking Dead Onslaught will present its own original story and will therefore be able to intrigue and constantly keep players on their toes. In terms of gameplay, however, the title will allow attacking both melee and long-range foes, and will include what is described as a "progressive dismemberment" system.
While waiting for Survios to unveil a more precise launch date and the game's reference platforms, you can take a look at the announcement trailer from The Walking Dead Onslaught that we reported at the top of the news.
